TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
The K2 company was founded in Washington state in 1962 by the brothers Bill and Don Kirschner from whom the name K2 derives.
The K2 brand is associated with several firsts: they were the first to introduce fiberglass skis, or fiberglass, far lighter than their wooden or metal companions. They were also the first brand to imagine, study and produce a model for women. Over the years it has kept its promise of innovation by opening up to the production of snowboards, boots, accessories and finally roller skates.
MODELS FOR MEN, WOMEN AND KIDS
One of the strengths of the K2 brand was the ability to study and create models based on the skier who would use it. For this reason, models are available for men, women and children in various disciplines, freeride, all mountain, ski mountaineering. As for ski touring, there is the Back Country Wayback range for men and the Talkback for women. They are particularly light skis because they are made of carbon fiber and with a layer of Titanal capable of absorbing vibrations on the descent. Then there are the Konic and Charger skis for the downhill and Pinnacle for the freeride.
