From the moment Monsieur Baldas decided to devote himself to his greatest love – the mountains – his name became a trademark synonymous with high quality snowshoes. He was the first to use a combination of plastics and a ceramic base to make snowshoes lighter as well as more resistant, even at low temperatures. Acquired by Ferrino in 2008, Baldas branded products are entirely manufactured in Piedmont, proof of the company’s lasting attachment to its regional roots.
