All Black ADVANCE+ fuselages feature refined shapes and now come fully equipped with pre-lubricated screws for your mast and wing—ready to hit the water straight from the bag.
Designed for riders who love to push the limits in wave disciplines like prone, SUP, wing, or wake, these new fuselages deliver a radical upgrade in feel and performance. If you're aiming for tighter carves, a more responsive connection to your foil, and that extra level of surf flow, the ADVANCE+ configuration is for you. By moving the mast position 60mm closer to the front wing compared to standard fuselages, we’ve unlocked new levels of maneuverability and control.
It's important to note that the ADVANCE+ isn't here to replace our original Black Series. The standard Black fuselages remain the go-to choice for most riders across styles. The ADVANCE+ simply adds a high-performance option for intermediate to expert foilers seeking something more tuned for surf-style riding.
Keep in mind that advancing the mast changes the rear stabilizer dynamics, effectively increasing rear fuselage length. To maintain balance, you might need to size down—if you're using an Ultrashort now, consider switching to a Crazyshort or even Sillyshort or Psychoshort (520mm) in the ADVANCE+ line. The result? Faster roll from edge to edge and a looser, more agile ride—similar to sliding fins forward in a surfboard’s fin box for snappier turns.
This agility does come with a trade-off: expect a slight decrease in directional tracking and high-speed stability. Wingers might also notice a small reduction in upwind performance and may need to tweak their pumping style. For those chasing speed in big waves, the standard Black fuselages may still be the better fit.
Because the mast sits further forward, you’ll also need to adjust your baseplate position forward in your board’s foil boxes to maintain your wing’s sweet spot.
