Established in 1952, O'Neill quickly established itself on the market by word of mouth.

Jack O'Neill, the founder of the brand, begun to design and produce the first neoprene suits for himself. As an avid surfer, O'Neill was looking for a way to last longer in the water and with the neoprene suits he found  a solution to a common problem. That's why he soon became famous among surfers from all over the world and opened the first surf shop.

Since then the O'Neill brand has grown but has remained faithful to the principles that inspired it in the beginning: ethics and responsibility.

Most of O'Neill's products, from t-shirts to swimsuits, to neoprene suits are made with recycled materials thanks to the collaboration with partners such as ECONYL for the recycling of nylon, REPREVE for the recycling of PET plastic from water bottles. The attention to the type of material used is strong both in terms of respect for the environment and in terms of comfort. For example, the HYPERFREAK material is an extremely light and flexible material that guarantees comfort and safety in the water.

O'Neill has founded a real project in this regard, the Ocean Mission, to create sustainable clothing with low environmental impact. Not only that, in 1996, O'Neill became the spokesperson for another ambitious project, the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program, a form of marine and environmental education intended for young people in difficulty to bring them closer to the world of the sea.

O'Neill is today the brand for surfers, kitesurfers, snowboarders and even skiers, for all those who love to be on the move whether it is in the sea, on the sand or on the road. The O'Neill products are for everyone, man, woman and kids.
