The active Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation made of 100% recycled materials has an open construction that releases moisture and excess body warmth. The fibers of the insulation are attached to a solid mesh core so no backing fabric is needed on the inside of the jacket. This saves weight and ensures you get a fleecy-soft feel against your skin. With its PFC-free DWR-treatment, the wind-resistant nylon outer shell offers protection in light rains. And with its inserts of woven fleece fabric at the sides, the jacket lends a high freedom of movement and excellent moisture management. Elastic materials at the cuffs, hood, and hem ensure the jacket stays put well no matter how you move. A chest pocket and two additional front pockets round out the package.
