What is a snowscoot?

Snowscoot is a fast growing winter sport that combines the sensations of snow sliding, BMX and snowboarding. It was invented in 1991 by a Frenchman named Franck Pétou. Since then, the discipline has been democratized and there are currently about ten thousand practitioners in France. It is also the third winter sport in France. We don't have statistics for Switzerland yet.

Is snowscooting easy?

It is easy to learn, much more so than skiing or snowboarding, especially for someone who has never been to a ski resort. It is possible to take one or two hours of lessons on the blue and green slopes to become familiar with this machine.

How to brake on a snowscoot?

The snowscoot does not have a brake, it is by skidding and making a turn that you can brake easily. It is authorized on the ski lifts as long as you wear the leash that connects the snowscoot to your ankle to avoid losing it in case of fall.

Which snowscoot to choose

We have  rigid snowscoot models form the brand Eretic, the Slope, ideal for piste and tricks, and the Powder, designed for freeride.

Eretic Slope

Ideal for track and tricks, the deck is now 580mm *140mm with pins instead of rubber griptape.

Eretic Powder:

specially designed for freeride. It shares the deck and handlebars with the Slope version, but the fork is now stiffer to get more capacity on deep powder.
And the skis are now wider (20 mm more) and with a different surface distribution to get a better balance in freeride.

The Eretic Snowscoot V2 was developed by Kevin Demay. The snow scoot V2 has been modified for a better ride on snow. With a weight of less than 6 kg, you will have no problem transferring your freestyle scooter skills to l'Eretic Snowscoot.

All materials are carefully selected and are also based on the experience of the entire Eretic team. 6061 T6 aluminum and 4130 heat treated chrome steel. The deck is covered with an extremely grippy textured material. The swivel fork helps absorb the contours of the mountain and provides a smoother ride than other snow scooters on the market. It comes with a leash attached to the bar - so you don't lose it if you fall and it goes down the mountain.

How to get equipped?

It is important to wear basic equipment such as waterproof footwear, helmet, warm clothing, goggles and gloves for safe snowscooting.
