What is the V-Hull? The sculpted bottom of the Voyager boards breaks the surface tension of the water increasing glide and helping the board track even better than before. The V-Hull has been scientifically proven to increase efficiency meaning you can paddle further with less effort. The V-Hull has the added benefit of creating a concave deck which provides a neat V for your forward cargo to nestle into and stay securely on board.
The 12’6″ Voyager is designed to be paddled by those who want to know what is around the next bend in the river or in the next bay. No need to leave cars at each end of your paddling trip, just jump on a train, bus, or take taxi to get home. The extra length means it can easily handle a kid on the front while you paddle, or if you’re going it alone, you can use the cargo tie-downs to take gear with you.

All Red Paddle Co boards have cargo attachments in the right place for efficient carrying of bags and gear. The Explorer is no exception. The cargo attachments on the nose and the tail are in the exact position to allow the board to be loaded with a lot of gear without effecting the trim of the board.

| Specificities | HOW DOES RSS MAKE THINGS STIFFEROur patented RSS, or Rocker Stiffening System, makes our boards up to 40 per cent stiffer by displacing the riders weight over a greater length of the board. It works by slotting two stiffening battens into pockets that are individually laminated on to the side of the board. The battens are attached to cords held down with velcro tabs, making them really easy to remove. LIGHTWEIGHT BUT STRONGMSL fusion composite and airtight coating, MSL involves fusing a second layer of hard-wearing polymer to the dropstitch core at the raw material stage, removing hand gluing errors. The high-tech industrial process saves almost 2kg in weight whilst making the boards stiffer at lower pressures.
