Nitro has adapted its Power Pods technology to its Vertical splitboard model, which is now equipped with Hike Pods. Hike Pods consist of a corrugation of the edge at skate level only. They add grip to the inside edge of your binding, thus limiting the grip problems of splitboards.
But if you've chosen the Vertical, it's because you know what happens after each ascent! And yes, the real fun begins once you've removed your skins and assembled your Vertical. Ready to drop into the slope, the Vertical will float you through the freshly fallen powder with ease and speed. It'll take you up and down the slope 100 times faster than on the way up!
The Vertical will take you higher than the resort's lifts to reach those peaks you've been salivating over for some winters now. The Vertical is the perfect splitboard for freeride itineraries, where your board will need to be maneuverable to get you past any committed line.
The Vertical 2024 is a top-of-the-range board that's fast and light. Thanks to its rigid flex and Trüe Camber rocker profile, the Vertical will keep you floating on the slopes and in less-than-perfect conditions!
Rocker Type
Trüe – This is a standard camber that provides the stability and pop many riders can't live without. The amount of pop and support you get from a cambered board is unmatched by any other camber design. The Trüe Camber varies between board models because each board is specifically designed for a certain terrain or type of ride.
Flex
Flex Rating – 9/10 All-terrain - Very stiff flex. Versatile flex for all-mountain pop and responsiveness.
Directional All Terrain Flex – Nitro's most versatile flex pattern, combining their signature all mountain pop with smooth response, allowing you to tear up the entire mountain.
Shape
Directional Splitboard – Classic shape with a nose slightly longer than the tail for lift in ungroomed snow. A directional shape is one in which the nose is wider than the tail, favoring curve entry and exit, high-speed stability and improved flotation.
Progressive Sidecut – Wider curve radius at the front of the board. Favors speed out of turns while offering a nose that limits hang-ups in the snow.

Edges
Powerpods – Extended board width underneath the binding results in better edge control on hard and icy surfaces, and less toe and heel drag for those with larger boots and flatter stance angles. Powerpods make the board super reactive and fast turning once it's put on edge, and easy to control if ridden less dynamically
