Touring Ski Black Crows Camox freebird 2024

Infos provided by Black Crows

A brand new version of the famous camox freebird, this is a ski that is gradually softened underfoot, with a balanced torsion and a serene spirit ready for anything. It is a ski for those who want to have fun in all conditions, and which offers a pleasant grip at the service of a benevolent rhythm. Tolerant and light, voluntary and progressive, the camox freebird accompanies all skiers towards a snowier and more balanced world.

A benchmark for mid-fat hiking, the Camox Freebird is lively, catchy and light. Unable to blush for its success, this modern ski concentrates all the expectations of a ski in a hurry to reach the top to express its superb potential on the descent. Flex player, classic camber and double rocker, all-terrain pleasure in the hiking version.

Sportmania's Opinion :

Praised by many hiking magazines, the Camox Freebird made us want to go for a short hike to test its behavior. Traditionally hikers are used to rigid and secure skis in icy corridors, but often regret the lack of skiability. This is not the case with the Camox freebird.

We immediately feel that we have something on our feet and that the descent will be a very good time, and he responds immediately with incredible agility and even in difficult snow. Indeed, the Camox Freebird is built with a wooden core and a clever blend of fibers which gives it the same characteristics as a freeride ski.

When climbing, you should not overload with too heavy bindings, because skiing without being heavy, is still tiring for significant differences in level. Thus a binding of less than 600g of Tecton type, or a Radical ST makes it possible to be able to optimize the weight ratio to take good pleasure in the ascent as in the descent. For customers who hesitate in the Black Crows Freebird range, the Camox Freebird is the best mid-fat compromise, and a fairly exceptional ski.
