The Honu is a fun and straight forward SUP for more advanced paddlers who love touring sessions and going fast. It is an incredibly beautiful bamboo version. The width of 69 cm gives the board a perfectly streamlined shape while retaining stability. The 11'6 is ideal for sporty riders or for women wanting to go fast or with a weight > 65.

The width of 69 cm gives the board a perfectly streamlined shape, the PUA is agile and with a great wood design. Those who have tried the PUA will be able to tell how smooth and easy it glides over the water.
Makai gave this board a new name. HONU means “Turtle” in Hawaiian. The deepening (concave) along the standing area will not be done in two parts anymore, it will go for an all in one deepening along the top of the board. Advantages are, better movement on the board, a better handle can be placed, and it will also be more comfortable to lay down once in a wile ͬͭͮͯ Small change on the shape to make the board even more stable (more volume).
