Founded by the then very young Jason Levinthal in 1995, the Line was created to restore vitality to the skiing experience. In fact, in the 1990s skis were long, straight and stiff. They did not allow for great maneuvers. What the young Jason was looking for was an experience of pure fun. He designs his first pair of skis at the age of 21 and sets up his own workshop in his parents' garage in New York State. After only 1 year he manages to produce a pair of skis in 8 hours, but it is only with the first large order from Japan for 1000 skis that he manages to grow. In the USA the consideration comes later, when as an athlete he participates in the first Slope Style Ski Event, winning the bronze medal. His flagship ski, The Ostress Dragon, earned him the cover of a major magazine and at that point the team expanded: Mike NIck, Eric Polland, Dash Longe and Mike Wilson. Numerous models come out: Chronic, the Eric Pollard Pro (which becomes the favorite of skiers), Prophet for freeride, Magnum Opus and finally the Sakana, the best ski for all mountain carving. The lines are distinguished in men, women and children.
