Sweaty climbs, steep descents: we have specially developed the COL BECCHEI JACKET for women for demanding ski tours in alpine terrain.

We use MERINO NATURETEC LIGHT as the main material to make this ski touring jacket with its athletic cut particularly light, elastic, and robust: it provides excellent breathability and elasticity, and is also windproof. On the inside back, Tasmanian merino wool offers great comfort and naturally regulates temperature and humidity. In the front, technical inserts made of a special three-layer WARP KNIT material with a windproof membrane provide protection from the weather while remaining breathable. Air pockets in the fabric ensure optimal insulation. To be environmentally friendly, the jacket is PFC-free and climate neutral.

The details are suitable for demanding hikes in alpine terrain: the tight-fitting hood protects the head from the cold and fits easily under the helmet. Ventilation zips under the arms keep you cool on strenuous climbs, while the elastic cuffs protect against drafts and snow. Pockets are optimized for easy access with a backpack.

This active membrane is not just wind and waterproof, but also “intelligent”. Like a pine cone that opens when it’s warm outside and closes when the temperature falls, the membrane also reacts immediately to sweat build-up with special moisture and temperature management. This means the membrane’s molecular structure can adapt to different temperatures. If the body becomes too hot, the polymer structure opens in order to regulate temperature and sweat production. If it’s cold, the polymer structure closes. This mechanism results in insulation properties that are directly matched to the wearer’s body temperature and the environmental temperature.

MERINO NATURETEC LIGHT
The merino wool is directly woven together with the material from schoeller® to create the ORTOVOX NATURETEC LIGHT fabric. This combination of merino wool and durable polyamide is extremely robust and elastic – making it ideal for high-action sports. The merino wool on the skin ensures good wear comfort and an ideal personal microclimate, while the polyamide provides protection against wind and light precipitation.
